For the Dead, The Battle Rages On
SHILOH
Shiloh is an action packed adventure that chronicles the life and times of a fictional twenty-three year old named Thomas Cooper, born in 1838 and raised in a small farming family in Stow, Massachusetts. Thomas joined the Union army soon after the Confederate attack on Fort Sumter; wanting to make a difference believing that everyone was created equal and that it was wrong for one person to own another. Shiloh is a fictional novel that closely follows the Civil War battles as they actually happened; many events, quotes and real life characters portrayed as history has remembered them. Shiloh continues beyond the grave, events in the spirit world unfolding in real time during many of the actual battles. The fictional characters help bring the story to life and give the underlying themes and messages deeper meaning. Shiloh also pays tribute to the many brave veterans who have commented over the years that one of the reasons they return to the battlefields they fought on was to honor the spirits still wandering there. I hope you enjoy reading Shiloh as much as I enjoyed writing it.
